Haryana and the US state of Connecticut have agreed to develop long-term partnership for sharing economic, social and cultural experiences.
The agreement was reached during a meeting on Tuesday between visiting Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy in state capital Hartford, near New York.
Malloy assured Khattar that he would take up the issue of investment with Fortune 100 enterprises, 17 of which are located in Connecticut, according to a Haryana government media release.
Malloy accepted Khattar's invitation to visit Haryana. He will be visiting Haryana early next year to scout for investment opportunities in the auto and precision engineering sector.
Earlier, Khattar and Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Abhimanyu met seven prospective investors in New York to discuss the possibility of investment in projects and joint ventures in the power and renewable energy sectors, the release said.

The proposed manufacturing facility in Gurgaon will provide employment to more than 2,000 people besides bringing in investment worth $50 million.
