With year-long celebrations planned to mark the golden jubilee of the formation of the state, the Haryana government has earmarked about Rs 1,700 crore for various schemes to be launched in the state during the 'Swarna Jayanti Year'.
The golden jubilee celebrations of Haryana will start on November 1 and will continue for an year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several schemes at the inaugural function of 'Swarna Jayanti celebrations' at Gurgaon on November 1, Chief Secretary D.S. Dhesi said here on Monday.
"He will also lay the foundation stones of different projects and inaugurate some projects," Dhesi said.
The Chief Secretary held discussions with the Additional Chief Secretaries regarding the proposals, schemes and projects prepared by their respective departments and directed the officers to complete the action plans of schemes at the earliest.
