Haryana suspends officer, books two others for ignoring grievances

The Haryana government on Thursday placed an officer under suspension and ordered registration of FIRs against two other officials "for dereliction of duty and not taking timely action regarding grievances received at Chief Minister Window".

Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Gupta, who presided over a review meeting of nodal officers of the CM Window here on Thursday, said action against these officers was decided at the meeting following complaints received against them.

Gupta said orders have been issued to suspend Jhajjar Ayurvedic Medical Officer Jai Bhagwan Hooda.

He also ordered to register a case (first information report) against Higher Education Department lab attendant Rakesh Kumar for presenting a fake birth certificate.

 

Legal and disciplinary action has been initiated against , Higher Education Department Assistant Balwan Singh, superintendent and other officers and officials involved in the matter.

"He also upbraided the officers for delay in registering FIR in the matter of embezzlement in Development and Panchayats Department and ordered to register FIR in the matter," a Haryana government spokesman said here.

Departmental action has been recommended and show cause notices issued to officers of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Revenue departments for negligence in redressal of grievances.

Action, including suspension, dismissal and registration of cases, has been initiated against officials in Haryana not taking timely action on grievances of people submitted at the Chief Minister's Window.
