Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been ruled out of Wednesday night's Europa League final against Benfica, coach Rafael Benitez confirmed during a press conference here.

The 22-year-old Belgian was unable to recover in time from a hamstring injury he sustained in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Aston Villa Saturday, reports Xinhua.

"Hazard will not be available," Benitez said Tuesday.

John Terry suffered an ankle injury against Aston Villa, but might be fit in time.

"We will try and see how he feels. We will decide tomorrow," said Benitez.

Last year Terry missed Chelsea's Champions League final win over Bayern Munich through suspension.

"It's not easy for him, " Benitez admitted. "It's not the best injury, but will see tomorrow with the medical staff."

Last season Chelsea eliminated Benfica in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, winning both legs 1-0 and 2-1.

"We were unlucky last year, but I hope we will be lucky next year," said Benfica coach Jorge Jesus.
