Brisbane Heat and the Sydney Sixers Monday were penalised for a slow over rate in their Big Bash T20 matches over the weekend.
After time allowances were taken into consideration, the Heat were assessed to be one over behind at the end of their match against the Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba on Saturday.
The Sixers were assessed to be two overs behind at the end of their match against the Melbourne Stars at the Sydbney Cricket Ground (SCG) Sunday night.
Under the playing conditions, each member of the Heat playing XI is fined $500. If the Heat accept this penalty without appeal, the fine will be reduced to $250.
