Monsoon rain continued to pour down in Himachal Pradesh with some places in Kangra district getting very heavy rain, the Met Office here said Tuesday.
"Precipitation occurred at many places in the state with very heavy rainfall in Kangra district during the past 24 hours," an official of the meteorological department told IANS.
He said the monsoon would now largely remain subdued and become active again July 27.
Gaggal and Dharamsala towns in Kangra district recorded 200 mm and 113 mm of rain respectively while Manali got 29.4 mm, Chamba 5 mm and Shimla 2.9 mm. The tourist towns of Kufri and Kasauli received moderate to mild rain, the official said.
