Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini on Monday said she has invited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to watch her Indo-Georgian "Synergy" cultural show.
"I have personally invited Mamata Banerjee for the show... most probably she will also be here for the show," Hema said here during the announcement of Synergy's Kolkata performance on September 15.
The cultural extravaganza showcases Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Pung Cholom (a Manipuri form) and Georgian dance.
"It is a beautiful amalgamation of two cultures through dance and also boosts friendship between two countries. It encompasses three forms of Indian and one hour of Georgian dance (Georgian National Ballet 'Sukhishvili'). I was keen to encourage artistes from northeast too," Hema said.
Synergy is presented in Kolkata by Indo Occidental Symbiosis and Calcutta Club along with Hema Malini's Jaya Smriti.
