Actress-politician Hema Malini, who was conferred with a "special award" by Subhash Ghai and the faculty of the filmmaker's institute Whistling Woods International Film School, says the contribution made by his institute has been "immense" in bringing out talent.
Hema Malini was honoured with the award on Saturday for her 40 years of contribution to the film industry.
"Subhash Ghai & the Faculty of India's renowned Whistling Woods conferred on me a special award for my 40 yr contribution to the film ind," Hema tweeted on Sunday.
"The contribution of Whistling Wds in brging out talent in all depts of film makg has bn immense. As a recipient of ths Award, I feel honoured," she added.
The 66-year-old actress' star daughter Esha Deol collected the award and delivered a speech on her behalf as the "Seeta Aur Geeta" star is currently recovering from injuries she sustained in a recent road accident in Rajasthan.
"Due to my inability to attend, Esha recd the prestigious Award on my behalf & also gave a wonderful speech on the occasion," Hema Malini wrote.
