Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Monday reported that in September it clocked its highest monthly sales so far.
The company sold 674,961 units in September -- its highest monthly sales so far. Hero's previous highest in monthly sales was recorded in October 2015, when the company sold 639,802 units.
For last month, the company reported a growth of 11 per cent in its total sales which stood at 674,961 units from 606,744 units sold in September 2015.
This is the second consecutive month that the company has sold six lakh-plus units -- having clocked 616,424 unit sales in August -- and the fourth this calendar year.
"With this, Hero MotoCorp has sold 35,68,887 units of two-wheelers between April and September this year -- its highest sales in the first half (H1) of any financial year," the company said in a statement.

"The previous highest of H1 sales for Hero MotoCorp was recorded in FY'15 when the company sold 34,07,652 units."
According to the company, the sales growth momentum is backed by a series of positive factors such as the launch of Splendor iSmart 110 and the positive trend maintained by the new scooter portfolio.
Currently, the company is a market leader in 100 cc and 125 cc segments -- with more than 65 per cent and 55 per cent market share in these respective segments.
