Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported a marginal uptick of 0.44 percent in its monthly sales for September.
The two-wheeler major's September sales stood at 606,744 units from 604,052 units sold in the corresponding month of last year.
According to the two-wheeler manufacturer, even in the sluggish market condition, the company was able to exceed the landmark of 6-lakh plus monthly sales.
The company has crossed the 6 lakh-plus sales milestone on three previous occasions -- September 2014 (604,052 units), May 2014 (602,481 units) and October 2013 (625,420 units).
"Hero MotoCorp has consolidated its share in the domestic motorcycle market to 52 percent and in the 125 cc segment to close to 50 percent," the company was quoted in a statement.

"It has been an action-packed month of September for Hero. The first global manufacturing facility of Hero MotoCorp, at Villa Rica in Colombia, went on stream in early September."
Its scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) closed the day's trade up 0.74 percent at Rs. 2,413.35 per equity share down from its previous close of Rs.2,395.65 per equity share.
