Two kg heroin valued at Rs 10 crore in the international market was on Thursday seized in Ferozepur Sector in Punjab, a BSF spokesman said.
"Based on specific information provided by Punjab Police, a special joint search operation was launched ahead of border security fence under the jurisdiction of Border Out Post Dona Telu Mal in Ferozepur Sector on the India-Pakistan international border.
"The search party seized four packets of the contraband buried in the soil near an electricity pole on the Sutlej river bank," the Border Security Force spokesman said.
Punjab shares a 553-km border with Pakistan, which has electrified barbed wire fence.
