Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday said a ropeway would be set up to link this area with the majestic Dhauladhar range located in its backdrop to promote adventure-related activities.
He said the government had sanctioned a ropeway that would link Bandla village near here with the overlooking Dhauladhar range.
The hills of Palampur town in Kangra district are considered one of the finest aero sports sites in the world, some 300 km from the state capital.
Addressing a public meeting at Bandla, the Chief Minister said the state had progressed a lot and no limit of development could be fixed as it was a continuous process.
"There was only one inter college in the state when it came into existence. Today it has 116 degree colleges and over 15,000 schools. A special campaign has been launched to provide qualitative education to the students at their doorsteps, especially the girls," he said.
Various medical and technical education institutes have been opened to make the state an educational hub.
