Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack on an army base in the Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
"It's an attack on national conscience. India would not be cowed down by such attacks and befitting reply would be given to those involved in this cowardly act," he said in a statement.
The Chief Minister paid tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Four terrorists attacked the army base near the Line of Control killing 17 soldiers and injuring 24 others early on Sunday morning.
