Himachal Pradesh minister Vidya Stokes, 88, on Monday suffered a minor head injury when she fell off the stage at an Independence Day function, officials said.
Stokes fell as she headed towards her seat after delivering a speech, an official accompanying her told IANS. "She's fine though she suffered a minor injury on the head," he added.
In the evening, the eight-time legislator and Indian hockey administrator for a long time, who now holds the Irrigation and Public Health portfolio, attended 'At Home' function at the Raj Bhavan here.
Stokes was elected to the assembly for the first time in 1974.
