Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Thursday said adequate funds were being provided to restore and maintain historical temples in the state.
He said the funds were being provided to restore the ancient temples in their original architecture.
Speaking to reporters after performing ritual ceremonies at the ancient Narain Temple in Rohru tehsil in Shimla district, he said the grant-in-aid to the temples had also been increased.
The temple was recently re-constructed by spending Rs.3 crore, temple officials said.
