Global tech major Hitachi Ltd on Thursday introduced Hitachi Vantara in India to deliver data-driven solutions for commercial and industrial enterprises.
"Hitachi Vantara marks a monumental change for us as we continue to advance our unified corporate vision of social innovation," said Toshiaki Higashihara, President and CEO of Hitachi Ltd, in a statement.
The new firm aims to help enterprises by bringing new data-driven solutions and services to the market.
Hitachi Vantara will unify the operations of Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Insight Group, and Pentaho into a single integrated business.
"The launch of Hitachi Vantara is an important step to being the complete data solutions provider, enabling customers to digitally transform their business," said Vivekanand Venugopal, Vice President and General Manager-India, Hitachi Vantara, in a statement.

Meanwhile, Lumada -- Hitachi's IoT platform -- is now available as a standalone and commercial software offering.
Lumada 2.0 has been updated with enhanced artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and advanced analytics capabilities.
