German football club Hoffenheim's Niklas Suele will be out of action for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
Suele suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in his left knee during Saturday's 3-2 win over Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga, reports Xinhua.
The under-21 German international had to be carried off the pitch.
"I feel sorry for Niklas. He is a great kid who took a great development. We will fully support him and help him through this difficult period of his career," Hoffenheim director Alexander Rosen said.
Hoffenheim are currently in seventh place in the league standings.
