Regretting his dismissal at the score of 79, Central Zone batsman Robin Bist hoped that his side's bowlers will help them pull things back against South Zone on the second day of the Duleep Trophy final here Thursday.
Central were restricted to 237/7 in 87 overs Wednesday at the Ferozeshah Kotla here with Bist being the only batsman to have decent success against the probing South Zone bowlers.
The right-hander threw his wicket away, mistiming a Pragyan Ojha ball to mid-wicket for a soft dismissal.
"I lost my wicket at a wrong time. As a settled batsman, I should not have played such a shot. Also, we lost four wickets quickly after tea and that hurt us badly. Hopefully, our bowlers will perform well tomorrow," Bist told reporters.
Talking about the Kotla pitch: "It's a two-faced wicket. It will be interesting to see how it behaves tomorrow. The spinners will get good purchase as the game progresses."
