Hot Sunday in Delhi, Monday to be hotter

The national capital experienced another scorching day on Sunday with the maximum temperature settling at 42.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The weather office has forecast a hotter Monday but with some respite likely later.

"There would be partly cloudy sky on Monday with dust storm and thunderstorm likely to occur in some areas towards evening and night," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 43 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Sunday's minimum temperature settled at 27.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between 56 and 23 percent.

 

On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures soared to 42.3 and 27 degrees Celsius, each two notches above the season's average, respectively.
