Hot Thursday in Delhi, dust storm likely on Friday

The national capital experienced another hot day on Thursday with the maximum temperature settling at 38.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the met office said. It forecast dust storm and thunderstorm on Friday evening or night.

"The sky would be partly cloudy on Friday while dust storm or thunderstorm is very likely to occur towards evening or night," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Thursday's minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the humidity ranged between 19 and 44 percent.

 

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 39.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.
