Hyundai launches all new Verna

Automobile major Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) Wednesday launched 10 new variants of its mid-sized sedan all-new 4S Fluidic Verna priced between Rs.7.73 lakh and Rs.12.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

According to the company, the new vehicle is equipped with the most powerful yet efficient powertrain and is available with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines.

The company said the vehicle has undergone extensive testing and tuning as per Indian road conditions.

The new variant has been designed to make handling settled and planted with rear shock absorber equipped with low velocity control valves which ensure a smooth ride quality even at high speeds and bumpy road conditions.

 

"As the most caring brand, the new Verna is a result of human engineering to contribute to the brilliant moments of our customers' life. Alongside, its stunning fluidic design and technological finesse enhance driver and passenger comfort," said B.S. Seo, managing director and chief executive, HMIL.

The new 4S Fluidic Verna has been developed by the company's research and development (R&D) team in Korea which has conducted research to understand the customer needs for various types of road and climatic conditions.

The five petrol variants of the new vehicle come with option of two engines -- Gamma 1.4 and 1.6 VTVT which give a fuel mileage of 17.01 to 17.04 kms per litre.

The five diesel variant of the vehicle also come with choices of two engines -- U2 1.4 CRDi and U2 1.6 CRDi VGT which give a fuel mileage of 23.9 to 24.8 km per litre.

On the exteriors, the new vehicle sports wing-shaped radiator grille with chrome, projector headlamps and boomerang shape fog lamps.

The vehicle's interiors feature well-contoured front and rear seats, sliding console arm rest, height adjustable driver seat and rear seat arm rest with cup holders.

The company added that safety and security-wise the new vehicle expands the already comprehensive list of available active and passive safety equipment like six air-bags -- for driver and passengers -- and curtain, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and speed-sensing auto door lock.

First introduced in 2006, Hyundai Verna has sold 2.3 million units across 66 countries.
