Filmmaker Hansal Mehta says he doesn't "sack people", slamming reports that the musician duo Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya have been sacked from his next directorial titled "Simran".
According to a report, Amaal Mallik has replaced Sachin-Jigar as the music director of the film, which stars Kangana Ranaut.
It was said that Mehta had given the duo three months to work on the songs, but they failed to meet the deadline and could compose only one track for the film. That made Mehta sign up Mallik as the music director of "Simran".
Refuting the same, Mehta said in a statement: "The news is false and fabricated. I don't sack people. Being a filmmaker, I meet different music composers and hear their compositions. I go with whoever is the best and is available within the timeline of a particular project."
Talking about the musicians, Mehta said: "Sachin and Jigar are extremely talented and I highly regard their work and would love to collaborate with them."
The duo have recently composed the music of "A Flying Jatt", helmed by Remo D'souza.
