An injury time penalty conversion from Carlos Hernandez gave Dempo a 1-0 win over Mumbai FC in an I-League encounter at the Cooperage Ground on Saturday.
After a goalless 90 minutes, Dempo was given a spot kick as Costa Rican Hernandez was brought down in the area by Mumbai defender Sampath Kuttymani.
The calm Hernandez stepped upto the spot and converted the penalty.
The 1-0 win for the visitors is only their second of the season while Mumbai suffer their second defeat at home on the trot.
Dempo are just a step ahead of Mumbai on the league table with 13 points from 12 matches.
