I'm pretty dumb at politics: Neha Sharma

Actress Neha Sharma, daughter of politician Ajit Sharma, says she is pretty dumb when it comes to politics.

"I will have to say I am pretty dumb when it comes to cricket and politics. I am not unaware as there is a lot of political conversations in my house. So, I am politically aware, but not politically inclined," Neha told IANS.

Neha's father is an MLA from Bhagalpur in Bihar.

She is currently on a high as the Chinese film "Xuanzang", in which she features, has been named China's official pick for the 89th Academy Awards' Best Foreign Language Film category. The movie also features Sonu Sood.

 

"It's a great feeling. I got to know this news through Twitter and I was like 'Wow, that's what we call it a miracle'. God has been kind. I was so excited when I got that film," the 28-year-old said.

Directed by Huo Jianqi and produced by Wong Kar-wai, the film depicts the legendary and epic seventh century journey of a Buddhist monk from China to India.

In Bollywood, Neha will now be seen in "Tum Bin 2". She says she feels the pressure of being a part of the successful franchise "Tum Bin".

"While we were filming it, there was no pressure. I just wanted to do a good job. Now when I am doing the interviews, the pressure is building up. There is a sense of pressure now," said the actress, who has earlier featured in films like "Crook" and "Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum".

"Tum Bin 2" is the second instalment of "Tum Bin", written and directed by Anubhav Sinha and jointly produced by him and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series music label.
