Indian Air Force's Western Air Command chief S.S. Soman Monday visited the air force base here and expressed satisfaction at the preparedness of the force personnel in Jammu region, said a defence spokesman.
Air Marshal Soman was received by base commander Air Commodore Prashant Patange at the air force station here and later interacted with officers, men and civilian staff.
"He inspected various sections and units and expressed great satisfaction over the way the station is being maintained on the operations, maintenance and administrative fronts.
"He expressed his approval at the professionalism of the personnel of the air force station Jammu and urged them to achieve even higher standards in the service of the nation.
"The air marshal also visited the snow-bound forward locations," he said.
