Intelligence Bureau chief Rajiv Jain on Saturday reached Chhattisgarh capital Raipur on a two-day visit to the state, official sources said.
He later visited Sukma to take stock of the security situation. He also held a meeting with senior officials in Jagdalpur to review the ongoing operations against the Maoists.
In one of the deadliest attacks, 300 to 400 heavily armed Maoists on April 24 ambushed a Central Reserve Police Force contingent in a forested patch between Burkapal and Chintagufa in Sukma district leading to the death of 25 troopers.
