The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought presence of a senior officer Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer to confirm whether a look-out notice was issued against an advocate, preventing him from travelling to Iraq last year.

Jus tice Rajiv Shakdher asked the IB officer to remain present on May 27, while hearing a plea filed by advocate Mehmood Pracha, who alleged that the look-out notice was issued against him by IB which had prevented him from travelling to Iraq on November 24 last year where he wanted to do relief work and oppose IS activities.

The plea challenging the constitutional validity of "formation, existence and functioning" of the IB has also sought its "disbanding".

According to the petition, Pracha came to know about the look-out notice when he and five others were stopped from boarding their flight and an endorsement "offloaded" was made on their passports. They had in tended to travel to Iraq to do relief work and oppose IS activities, the petition said.
