The Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) has launched a programme named Fashion Brooder to train fashion graduates on how to start their own business.

Fashion Brooder will be one-year rigorous program for only 30 individuals providing them with the clarity of thought for their entrepreneurial fashion journey through live lectures, case studies, group assignments, guidance and insights from India's leading fashion professionals.

"Fashion Brooder will work as an amplifier for the fresh pass out designers," Avinash Pathania, founder director, IFFD said in a statement.

The program will lead to a stronger, more vibrant and more active fashion designer community better prepared to compete with local and international designers. The program will also create a network for substantial resources.

Over 70 industry professionals will be taken on-board to serve as mentors to young fashion designers for this program.

"If they create great designs, we will make sure the audience will surely find them," Kiran Kheva, fashion director, IFFD said.

IFFD is also inviting other brands to join in as underwriters to support these upcoming fashion startups.
