Accusing imperialist forces of fanning separatist movements in the country, West Bengal's opposition Left Front Wednesday urged all Left forces to take part in an anti-imperialist rally here Sept 1.

Left Front chairman Biman Bose contended the country's sovereignty was in "peril as imperialist forces were trying to use India as a base for their designs in South Asia".

"Earlier, intelligence agencies of these imperialist countries accessed about 40 percent of secret documents. As per recent reports, they can access 75 percent of our secret documents now," he said.

"We urge all Left forces who know about the dangers of imperialism and are vocal about it to join the rally," said Bose.
