India 301/6, lead by 109 runs at tea

India were 301 for six at tea, 109 runs ahead of New Zealand, in the first innings of the second and final Test at the Basin Reserve here Saturday.

India scored 100 runs in the second session, losing just the one wicket of Virat Kohli (38). Mahendra Singh Dhoni (39 batting) and Ajinkya Rahane (64 batting) were unbeaten at the crease.
