'India-Bangladesh efforts will contribute to realise people's aspirations'

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday said the joint efforts made by India and Bangladesh will help realise the aspirations of people of both the countries.

Mukherjee also extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of Bangladesh on their National Day on March 26.

"It is a matter of satisfaction that the close relations between India and Bangladesh have substantially expanded in recent years. We have succeeded in enhancing and intensifying our cooperation in areas of our shared interest," he said in a statement here.

"I am confident our joint efforts will contribute to the realisation of the aspirations of our respective people," he said.
