India beat Pakistan in U-19 World Cup

Defending champions India beat arch rivals Pakistan by 40 runs in their opening match of the U-19 World Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium here Saturday.

Opener Akhil Herwadkar made 41 while Sanju Samson and Sarfaraz Khann scored 68 and 74 respectively in India's 262 for seven.

Pakistan could only manage 222 in reply, with Deepak Hooda taking five wickets for 41 runs.
