India claims 4 silver, 5 bronze in Asian wushu meet

India bagged four silver and five bronze medals at the sixth Asian Wushu Championships which ended here on Monday.

Pars Cup 2015 gold medallist L. Budhachandra Singh lost his gold medal bout against Van Bau of Vietnam in the 56 kg category and Praveen Kumar lost the 48 kg final against Minh Duc Vu.

K. Arunpama Devi lost his 60 kg final, while Rajinder Singh finished runner-up in the 90 kg competition.

Y Santhoi Devi (52 kg), Pooja Kadian (65 kg), Vishakha Malik (70 kg) and Rajani Deori (75 kg) claimed the bronze medals.

In the last edition, India won one silver and nine bronze medals at Ho Chi Minh city in 2012.
