India need five wickets to win first Test

South Africa lost five wickets for 56 in pursuit of 218 runs in their fourth innings against India in the first Test at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium here on Saturday.

India managed to add 15 runs after they had reached 185/8. Later, India quickly removed five batsmen with left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja taking two wickets, while Amit Mishra, Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Aaron picked up a wicket apiece.

Stiaan van Zyl (15 not out) and Dane Vilas (6 not out) were at the crease for South Africa at tea.
