India's Armaan Ebrahim along with team-mate Dilantha Malagamuwa finished second and third, respectively, in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia series at the Sepang International Circuit here on Sunday.
The duo, representing Dilantha Racing, however, missed an outright win in the second race due to a penalty following an early release in the pit by four-tenths of a second and had to settle for the third spot.
In the qualifying sessions, Armaan showed blistering pace to grab the pole position for the first race while Dilantha the second spot in the second race.
Armaan, supported by JK Racing, had a good start in the first race and enjoyed a sizeable lead when he handed over the car to Dilantha. The Sri Lankan, however, was passed and finished second.
Dilantha went out first in the second race. Though he slipped to third, he fought back to second before Armaan took over. Armaan was in with a chance to catch up with the leader, but was called in for a stop-go penalty for early release and eventually finished third.
