India's consumer price inflation for August eased slightly to 3.66 percent from 3.69 percent in July and a staggering 7.03 percent during the like month of last year, official data showed on Monday.
However, the consumer food price index (CFPI) inched-up by 2.20 percent from 2.15 percent rise in July. Notwithstanding the month-on-month (MoM) rise, the CFPI was far lower than the growth of 8.70 percent in August 2014.
