India sees good scope of civil n-cooperation with Turkey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, during a bilateral meeting here with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the sidelines of the G20 summit here, said there was good scope for civil nuclear cooperation with Turkey among other areas.

"The PM said that there were possibilities of cooperation in the areas of civil nuclear cooperation, space and agricultural research," Vikas Swarup, external affairs ministry spokesperson, said in a media briefing.

"He (Erdogan) invited Modi to make a bilateral visit to Turkey next year," Swarup.

"Turkish connect...a bilateral meeting with the host of @G20Turkey2015, President @RT_Erdogan," Prime Minister's Office (PMO) India had tweeted.

 

The prime minister also held a bilateral meeting with Spanish Premier Mariano Rajoy on Monday.

On Sunday, Modi held a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, during which all procedures of the civil nuclear agreement signed between India and Australia were completed.

He also met European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Sunday.
