Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said India and the US were working together "for the future interests of Asia".
"Relations between India and the US are growing," Modi told the media ahead of a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump here.
"Our relations go beyond bilateral ties and we are working for the future interests of Asia and humanity," he said.
This was the second Modi-Trump meeting after the Indian leader's visit to Washington in June.
On Sunday, the two leaders interacted at a gala dinner hosted by Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte ahead of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit.
Modi arrived here on Sunday on a three-day visit to the Philippines during which he will attend the 15th India-Asean Summit and the 12th East Asia Summit on Tuesday.
