President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said India would continue to stand with Afghanistan in fighting all forms of terrorism, in a message to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani following the terror attack in Kabul a day ago.
"India strongly condemns this brutal act of terrorism which is another reminder of the grave danger posed in our region by terrorism and violence inflicted on our peoples by forces inimical to peace, stability and progress," Mukherjee wrote in his message.
"India will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Afghanistan in fighting all forms of terrorism effectively," he added.
"I would like to express our deepest condolence on the loss of lives and injuries as a result of the dastardly terrorist attack in Kabul," he said in the letter, according to a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement.
On Thursday, two suicide explosions hit a line of Afghan police buses in the western part of Kabul leaving at least 30 people dead. The Taliban later claimed responsibility for the attack.
