The existing world record for 'longest continuous ride standing on the seat of a motor cycle' was broken by Captain Manpreet Singh of Indian Army on Friday at Signal Training Centre, Jabalpur.
Singh, team Captain of "Dare Devils" covered the distance of 75.2 k.m. in 02 hours, 24 minutes and 12 seconds. The previous World Record of 32.3 km was achieved by Ratnesh Pandey (India), in Indore on December 5, 2015.
The extraordinary feat was performed in front of civil and military dignitaries which included Justices of Madhya Pradesh High Court and Major General Dharam Vir Singh Rana, Officiating General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area.
The World Record for "Handle Bar Riding on a Motorcycle" under fresh category was established by Havildar Sandeep Kumar, who covered a distance of 46.9 Km in 01 hr 27 min and 31 secs.
"Final certification is awaited and would be proposed to be published in the next editions of respective books," an official release said.
