India settled for the eighth place after a 1-2 loss to higher ranked Hong Kong in the play-off match on the final day of the girls' team event in the World junior squash championship here on Tuesday.
Adya Advani lost the first match to Choi Uen Shan despite showing a will to fight, but Nikita Joshi made it 1-1 by winning the second singles against Hiu Kam Hui.
However, Ka Wing Ho defeated Harshit Jawanda in the deciding third singles to wrap up the tie for Hong Kong.
