An Indian woman has been charged with y stabbing her husband 30 times in front of their five-year-old daughter in Bahrain, media reported Friday.

The woman, 27, whose name was not disclosed in the report, killed Siraj Al Din Ebrahim, who was in his 40s, in his home in Manama April 26, the Gulf Daily News reported.

Three other people, including the victim's brother, have been charged with aiding and abetting the crime. All four appeared before a judge Thursday, where they pleaded not guilty.

The three men, who are also Indians, were released from police custody, while the woman was remanded in custody for 45 days.

The woman, however, told the court that her husband took his own life by stabbing himself in the neck, chest and abdomen because of family financial problems.

The couple's five-year-old daughter told prosecutors she saw her mother "stab" her father.
