Placing food orders online is not new, but a survey reveals that people in metropolitan cities like the capital and Mumbai use mobiles more than desktops to order meals.

Online food portal TastyKhana.in has unveiled infographics based on a survey conducted by them across cities on the usage of mobiles and desktops while placing online food orders, said a statement.

It was found that the ratio of food ordering via mobile is higher when compared to desktop users across cities, like Mumbai (81:19), Pune (83:17), Bangalore (89:11) and Delhi (84:16).

"Across the cities, we have observed that consumers are more contented and dependent on their mobile phones for placing food orders. It was also found that the five most popular mobile food ordering devices are Apple iPad 2, Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and LG Nexus4.
