Budget passenger carrier IndiGo on Monday said that it will operate flight services to Sharjah which will become its sixth international destination.
Besides, the low cost carrier (LCC) said that it will introduce new flight on its existing route to Muscat.
According to the airline, it will introduce new daily non-stop flights on Sharjah-Kozhikode and Muscat-Kozhikode routes from March 20, and on Sharjah-Thiruvananthapuram sector from April 8.
"We are extremely pleased to expand our international network with Sharjah and an additional connection between Muscat and Kozhikode," Aditya Ghosh, President and Whole Time Director, IndiGo, was quoted as saying in a statement.
"Middle East has been an important market for IndiGo and expanding operations to Sharjah and Muscat is a testament to the growing demand from the sector."
The airline is expected to operate 857 daily flights connecting 43 destinations with its fleet of 126 Airbus A320 aircraft from March 2017.

IndiGo had the largest domestic market share of 40.3 per cent as of December 2016.
