A total of five billion rupiah (some $380,401) bonus, a huge number for local standard, and a 27 million rupiah (about $2,054) allowance per month will be awarded to the athlete who can get gold medals, according to Indonesian Sport Minister Imam Nahrawi, reports Xinhua.

A total of two billion rupiah (equal to $152,160) bonus and a 15 million rupiah (some $1,141) allowance per month will be given to those who will get silver medals, Nahrawi said.

For bronze medalists, they will get one billion rupiah (some $176,080) in bonus and a 10 million rupiah (about $761) allowance every month, he added.

Twenty eight Indonesian athletes are to compete in seven sports in the Olympic in Rio de Jeneiro.
