Indore Lokayukta police on Thursday raided two houses of officials here, and recovered unaccounted wealth worth crores of rupees, police said.
During the raid, conducted on a complaint that the two had accumulated assets disproportionate to their known source of income, the police found incriminating documents.
The Lokayukta raided the residence of veterinary doctor Shakir Muhammed Shaikh in MIG Colony and other places following a complaint that he had amassed disproportionate assets. The police found documents that revealed Shaikh had more than two houses and several immovable assets.
Following Shaikh's commercial relations with a senior zoo official Uttam Yadav, the police also conducted a raid at the latter's home.
Indore Lokayukta police officer Arun Mishra told IANS that the raid was still on.
