A raid at the house of an excise department constable in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city Tuesday revealed that he actually owned property worth crores of rupees.

The revelation about Ramchandra Jaiswal's assets disproportionate to his known sources of income was made during raids at different places in the city following a Lokayukta complaint.

Besides recovery of cash from Jaiswal's Sudama Nagar house, the team also found that he actually owned many properties, including houses and a shop, said Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta) Arun Mishra.
