Software major Infosys Ltd Wednesday appointed Roopa Kudva, chief executive of global analytical firm Crisil, as an independent member of its board of directors.
"Kudva has led Crisil's ratings business and its foray into global research and analytics, which turned it into a diversified analytical firm from being credit rating agency, with clients from top investment banks to several small firms across the country," the IT major said in a statement here.
Kudva also worked with Crisil's parent firm Standard & Poor's at Paris in France as director for financial institutions' ratings covering West Asia, Eastern Europe and Mediterranean countries.
"Kudva is a member of many policy level committees, including that of the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Reserve Bank of India (RBI)," the statement noted.
Kudva has also been a member of the executive council of the IT industry's representative body Nasscom (National Association of Software and Services Companies).
She is a postgraduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
