Inter Milan dismiss midfielder Banega departure rumours

Inter Milan sports director Piero Ausilio on Tuesday denied rumours about the possible departure of midfielder Ever Banega and declared that the Argentine international is a very important footballer for them.

The 28-year-old joined Inter last summer following a free transfer from Spanish club Sevilla. But he has yet to settle in the Inter's starting XI.

Ausilio said in an interview released by Italian television Mediaset Premium, that Inter have the team they wanted to build and they are happy, noting that Banega is a key player for the squad, reports Efe.

The director added that the club always had confidence in its squad and never doubted its signings.

 

He also revealed that they are not planning any new signings this winter transfer window.
