Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said the state government is focusing on offering high speed broadband internet services to the gram panchayat level in the next three years.
"The state government is focusing on providing end to end dedicated government network from the state headquarters to gram panchayat level by offering high speed broadband internet services in next three years time for seamless transactions of government services," said Patnaik.
Inaugurating the two-day conference INFOCOM Advantage Odisha-2017 here, he said the IT sector is at the top of the state government's agenda.
The Chief Minister said that the state government strives to make Odisha a preferred destination for IT-ITES-ESDM companies by providing most congenial business environment with a slew of attractive fiscal incentives and concessions through industry friendly policies.
"The growth rate of IT exports from the State is more than the national growth rate since many years. Our recently announced special package of incentives for Electronic System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, which is unique in the country, shall definitely be a catalyst in this endeavour," he added.
